Learn To Pose For Photos

$77.00

Sunday May 3rd

3pm-5pm at Calliope Creative

This workshop is about learning how to see yourself with curiosity instead of criticism.

You will learn how to pose your body in and use your phone camera or DSLR in a way that feel honest, flattering, and expressive without needing fancy equipment or complicated setups. We will focus on light, angles, movement, and how to work with your body instead of against it.

This is a thoughtful, supportive space designed for folks of all gender expressions who want to feel more comfortable in front of the camera, explore self expression, or finally create photos they actually love of themselves.

What we will cover
• How to use natural light and simple setups
• Where to place your body for flattering, natural images
• How to work with movement instead of stiff posing
• Using mood and emotion to tell a story
• Creating images that feel like you

Each attendee receives a digital pdf that includes the full class content, visual examples, and space for notes so you can revisit everything later.

The final 30 minutes of your workshop will be a guided self-portrait experiment at the studio. This is your time to practice what you have learned, experiment, and ask questions while shooting in real light.

If this class is outside of your financial means but you are genuinely excited to learn, ready to show up, and eager to create, you are encouraged to apply for a Calliope Creative scholarship. To learn more about what that entails and how to apply, click here.
