The Calliope Scholarship Fund

At Calliope Creative we believe that creativity should never be limited by finances. Every class, course, and ticketed event we offer has a scholarship seat reserved for someone who would otherwise be unable to attend. This is one of our core commitments to equity, inclusion, and community care.

  • Giving back is not a marketing strategy here. It is a way of life. At Calliope we believe that when we have more, we give more. That is how we build longer tables instead of taller fences.

Each month I, Annelise, offer a free photo session in the community. It may be for a BIPOC or women-owned business that deserves visibility. It may be for a family moving through grief, a teenager navigating hardship, or a local organization like the YWCA. These gifts are not tax write-offs. They are not about making myself feel good. They are simply part of how my business is structured because creativity and care are stronger when they are shared.

By naming this openly, my hope is not only to let you know what opportunities are available, but also to encourage other business owners to consider what giving back could look like for them. When generosity becomes part of the foundation, the whole community rises.

  • Because we know not everyone has the same financial access to in-person education, Calliope Creative offers one fully funded seat in every offering. That includes short workshops, six-week courses, and even our larger ticketed events. These scholarships are meant for anyone who is eager to learn, grow, and participate but may not have the means to do so.

  • If you are someone who has been curious about photography, videography, or creative arts but have felt that money was a barrier, there is a seat waiting for you here. Our classes are designed to be interactive, hands-on, and enjoyable. We want every student to feel welcome and supported.

The scholarship fund is one way we make sure that Calliope Creative remains a place of access, belonging, and joy. Apply for a seat, share this with someone who could use it, or simply carry the spirit of giving into your own work. Together we can keep building longer tables, never taller fences.
