Introduction to Photography: 1-Day Intensive

$499.00

Saturday, January 16 | 9 AM to 5 PM | Calliope Creative | $499

You have a great camera. You have no idea how to use it. That's exactly why this day exists.

This is the full Introduction to Photography course, everything covered in the 5-week session, packed into one intentional, hands-on day for the people who learn best by doing. You'll leave knowing your camera, knowing how to use it on purpose.

Instructor Annelise Page keeps spots limited to 9, so you'll get actual attention, actual feedback, and actual time with your camera in your hands.

The Day

9:00 AM - Class begins. Coffee, snacks, and your camera.
We start with the fundamentals: manual mode, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and why all of it matters. No slides full of jargon. Just clear explanation, immediate practice, and plenty of questions encouraged.

Mid-morning: Photo Walk #1
We take what you just learned outside and shoot with it. This is where it starts to click.

Back in the studio: we review what you shot, talk through what worked and what didn't, and go deeper into composition, light, and editing basics.

12:00 PM - Lunch break, 1 hour. Go grab a meal. There are great spots nearby downtown.

1:00 PM - Back to it. Afternoon session builds on the morning and gets more hands-on.

Mid-afternoon: Photo Walk #2
A second round outside with fresh eyes, more skills, and noticeably better photos than the first walk.

4:00 PM - Final session: editing basics and your questions. We close by looking at the images you made today.

5:00 PM - You leave knowing your camera.

What's included: Instruction from Annelise Page, two guided photo walks, snacks throughout the day, and the full Introduction to Photography curriculum in a single session.

What to bring: Your camera, your memory card, your laptop if you have one (for the editing portion), and a lunch plan for the midday break.

Spots are limited to 9. Once it's full, it's full.
